Horsebox Hire FAQ
Do I have to pay a deposit?
We ask for a £50 deposit to secure your booking. For cancellations up to 1 week prior to your booking, we will refund the deposit in full.
There is a £500 insurance excess to cover damage to the horsebox in the event of an accident. This can be paid by card or cash at the time of hire and will be refunded in full when the horsebox is returned undamaged.
Do I need to put fuel in the horsebox?
The horsebox is provided with a full tank of diesel, and should be returned with a full tank of diesel.
Can I collect the night before and bring back the morning after?
For full day hire you can collect the night before and return the following evening.
For a morning half day hire you can collect the night before and it must be returned by midday. Half day afternoon hire can be collected from midday and returned the same evening.
Any delays in returning the horsebox will result in an hourly charge.
What size horses can it carry?
The horsebox has a payload of 1000 kg and is designed to carry two horses up to 1000 kg in total. So two 15.2h, or a 16.2h and a pony for example.

Yes as part of the booking process, you will be asked to confirm that you agree with our Terms & Conditions of Horsebox Hire. Please review these in full before booking.
What if the horsebox breaks down?
In the event of a breakdown please contact us immediately and we will call Equine Rescue on your behalf.
How many people can the horsebox carry?
The driver and 2 passengers.
Do I need to return it cleaned out?
he vehicle must be returned to us CLEANED, SWEPT and hosed out where necessary.
There will be a penalty of £50 if the horsebox is not cleaned out to our satisfaction.
